AN EXCEPTIONAL MOUNTAIN CABIN

On the slope of Janiołowy Peak, surrounded by a vast mountain landscape, there is an exceptional mountain cabin – Chata Groń (Groń Cabin). From its spacious living room one can enjoy a panoramic view of snow-capped rocky Tatra Mountains and the more gentle Gorce. This region, known as the Land of Winter, is especially worth appreciating during long, snowy evenings, when crackling fire from the grate provides light for meetings with friends and joyous highland-style feasts.

Thanks to a modern project and its execution in line with the best traditional highlander craftsmanship we were able to create a cosy, comfortable enclave. Larch logs were used and sealed with decorative mossing, thanks to which Chata Groń can boast the advantages of an ecological house.

Your stay in a place like this will make the highlander call: “Przyjdą zaś!” (“Come again!”) something more than only a regional curiosity.

SKI SLOPES

The area surrounding Chata Groń is a ski paradise. Kotelnica Białczańska – the most popular ski resort in Poland, and the more atmospheric RusińSKI slope, are only a 5-minute drive from the cabin.
Both resorts cater to the needs of skiers of all skill levels. For the more advanced skiing enthusiasts Jurgów Ski Resort, which is a 15-minute drive away, will be a perfect choice.

SKI-TOURING

Recent years show the growing popularity of ski-touring – a cross between winter trekking and skiing. The area surrounding our cabin is an ideal place for this type of winter activity.
Ski-touring beginners may take on their first challenges directly from the porch of our house – by going towards Kotelnica Białczańska or Rusiński Peak. The more advanced ski-tourers will definitely appreciate the vast network of hiking trails located in the Tatrzański National Park.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS

Bukovina and Bania Thermae – best-known Podhale region geothermal baths are located near our cabin. It is a good idea to take advantage of their offer, especially after an intensive day spent on ski slopes or hiking trails.

Cross-country skiing aficionados will definitely enjoy the track between Kotelnica Białczańska and Pasieka Peak, perfect for both classic and skate style.

In Białka Tatrzańska, there is a covered, 1000m2 ice rink available for all skating enthusiasts.

Extreme sports fans may get the adrenaline rush while taming mechanical beasts – snowmobiles under the watchful eyes of snowmobile instructors.

Sleigh parties with feasts and bonfires have always been a well-loved tradition in the Podhale region. A sleigh ride with torches is an absolutely unforgettable experience.
